The Durham Thundercats won both games last weekend with comeback wins over Elora and Milverton.
Friday night at home in front of the large kids night crowd some bad bounces had the Thundercats down 3-1 and 4-2 before clawing back for a 6-5 win in overtime.
Kyler Nixon had three goals for Durham, with singles to Trevor Hughson, Jake Brown and Derek Matheson, who notched the overtime winner.
On Sunday Durham could only ice 12 skaters in Milverton and fell behind 5-1 midway through the second period. Cue the comeback.
Durham scored six unanswered goals to win 7-5, with Luke Althouse getting the win in net. Shifty Graham had two goals, with Tom Ratchford, Justin D Graham, Mitch Good and Nixon adding singles.
The next game for the Thundercats is this Friday night when the first-place Saugeen Shores Winterhawks come to town for an 8:30 p.m. start. These teams met in the first game of the year with the Winterhawks winning in a shootout, so it should be a great game.
